Luxury Redefined: Mobile Interface for Signature Scent Co.

Project Overview

I designed a mobile interface to elevate the user experience for Signature Scent Co., a brand renowned for its exquisite candles and unwavering commitment to quality. This project catered to discerning customers who appreciate natural ingredients, unique scents, and a seamless shopping experience.

Understanding the User and Brand

Through user interviews and market research, I gained valuable insights into user shopping behaviors and preferences for luxury candles. A key takeaway was the overwhelming preference for clear, concise language in product descriptions. Users wanted essential information about the scent and ingredients presented in a clear and easy-to-understand manner. Additionally, user feedback highlighted the importance of high-contrast text for optimal readability across devices.

Wireframing and Prototyping

Using Figma, I created a series of wireframes and an interactive prototype that prioritized a user-centered approach, aligning with the identified user flow. For instance, the 'Products' button was prominently placed on the home screen to encourage product browsing, as users indicated a preference for easy product discovery during research. High-contrast black text on a white background ensured optimal readability and addressed user preferences for clear information hierarchy. Through user testing sessions and stakeholder feedback, the interface was iteratively refined to address usability concerns and enhance the overall user experience.

User Flow

Start: User opens the app (home screen).

Actions:

  • If the user taps on "Products": User is navigated to the Products page. Here, they can view available candles.

  • Product Selection: The user selects a specific product. They are then navigated to the product details page.

  • Product Details Page: On this page, the user can learn more about the selected product:

    • Ingredients

    • Scent description

    • Pricing

  • Purchase: If the user decides to purchase the product:

    • They select the "Purchase" option.

    • They are then navigated to the checkout screen.

  • Checkout Screen: Here, the user enters their payment information (credit card details, shipping address, etc.).

    • If the user successfully completes this step, they proceed to the next stage.

  • Decision Point: If the user enters valid payment information and taps "Purchase":

    • The system processes the payment.

    • If successful, the user proceeds to the confirmation screen.

  • End: If the user completes the purchase successfully:

    • They are taken to the confirmation screen, which acknowledges their order and provides relevant details (order number, estimated delivery date, etc.).

The final mobile interface design encapsulates Signature Scent Co.'s essence while providing users with a seamless and engaging shopping experience. By prioritizing user needs (clear language, high contrast) and aligning the design with the brand's identity, this mobile interface empowers users to discover and purchase luxury candles with ease, ultimately contributing to a more delightful fragrance experience.
